Someone just went out of their way to inform me on FF.net that I had a canon error in one of my fics because I had Remus bitten by Fenrir Greyback on his sixth birthday. This has been on my mind for all night, so I figured I'd ask you guys. During the 70s while at school, do you think it's likely that Lily called Remus by his first name or last name?

I'm working on a fic that has some Marauder era stuff and I'm trying to figure out what year Snape, Lily, and the Marauders all started at Hogwarts. Do we have a definite birthday for any of the 5 so we can be sure of when they started at Hogwarts? I looked at the HP Lexicon website but different pages there are giving me different answers.

Is there any scene or even implication in the books that shows an interaction between characters Lucius Malfoy and Remus Lupin? I can't really remember one, but I might have missed it.

Hi everyone. I am looking for a specific quote from the books, and I could have sworn it was in Order of the Phoenix, but I can't find it. At one point, Remus Lupin quips something to the effect of "werewolves don't make popular dinner guests." Can anyone tell me which chapter or book this is from, the more specific the better? What was Remus Lupin doing during the fifth book? Was he running with the Werewolf pack at that time? Or was that in the sixth book? I mean, I know he was busy, but just how often was the unemployed werewolf out in the field during the Order of the Phoenix?

Ah, Lupin's cardigan. It gets talked about all the time in the corner of the fandom I lurk in, but is it canon or fanon?

I'm pretty sure the answer to all of these questions is Gryffindor, but I can't remember for sure. Which houses were the following people in when they attended Hogwarts: James, Lily, Remus, Sirius, and Hagrid? Were they all Gryffindors? And what about Wormtail? Can't imagine him being a Gryff, but why else would he hang with them?

I totally can't remember if this is canon or if it's just Shoebox I'm thinking of.

Were James and Lily head boy/head girl? I know Remus was a prefect, but wasn't James made head boy instead of Remus? So does this mean that Remus was maybe still a prefect during their 7th year while James was head boy?

Am I totally losing my mind?
